The secret ingredient is whole wheat flour. That is to say, you mix 1/3 cup of whole wheat flour with 1/3 cup of water and a pinch of salt into a bowl. The recipe is quite simple, but the lemon juice, baking powder and vinegar are key ingredients. You can adjust the ratio of lemon juice to baking powder and vinegar as you like. There are variations such as using honey in place of the vinegar, or a more intense lemon flavor in place of the lemon juice. I prefer to use whole wheat flour because it is easier to knead and the crust is flakier.

The recipe makes the crust flakier, but I think it makes the crust too dense. The lemon flavor in the crust is an interesting part of the game. I think it may be in keeping with the game’s philosophy of “you can have lemon but not citrus.

I find the lemon flavor interesting because it is the only flavor that really resembles what flavor lemon juice tastes like. I do prefer the flavor of whole wheat flour though. To make the crust flakier I would recommend using less yeast, but more sugar. The dough does tend to rise a bit more when using more yeast.

I did like the flavor of the crust, but I think the lemon flavor is a bit too subtle. If I were to make a crust for the game, I would probably use a stronger lemon flavor, and also add a touch of cinnamon. I am not sure I would add any other flavors to the dough, which is why I would not use the lemon here.
