I’m a huge fan of the florence rice recipe and this is a real winner. I use the cooked rice to make this easy summer meal.

The recipe uses red and green bell peppers, white and black mushrooms, and a little bit of garlic and onion. It’s made with fresh tomatoes, peas, yellow squash, and red peppers. Just cook and enjoy.

I used to love this recipe but after I had a bad experience making it it pretty much lost its magic to me. I think I’ll try the recipe again one of these days.

Actually I’m not a huge fan of the red and green bell peppers. They are too much like onions and they taste like onion. I’m going to try to make my own bell peppers. I’m already on the hunt for the right recipe and have some ideas.

Oh good. I didn’t realize that Florence Rice was actually made with bell peppers. As a side note, the peppers are supposed to be green. They taste like onion. And I was not too happy to see that the recipe is only for making them with the red ones. So I’m going to try to make my own.

The fact that you can make them with other colors, even red, might explain why so many people don’t like the peppers. We’re not making them entirely red, just a red, yellow, or green pepper, but the fact that they are supposed to be green when they are used in the recipe makes it hard to swallow. The red bell peppers, however, are not the only ones that taste like onion.

The recipe is really simple. You just need to boil all the peppers for about 10 minutes. (Or just the green ones if you prefer.) Then you can slice them into thick slices and toss them in olive oil on top of the stove until they are tender. Serve them cold or at room temperature. The whole process is pretty easy, even if you aren’t a huge onion fan.

But there’s an added bonus. While the recipe says to eat them as they are or “as is”, but I would suggest just letting them sit in the fridge until you’re ready to use them. They can be used and frozen, as well.
